The Clarksville Generals Varsity Baseball team won one and lost one in a doubleheader played Saturday, April 17th at Wayne Stock Field.  The Generals started the day off winning 7-6 in hotly contested battle in the first game. Senior Jaren Starks picked up his first win of the season in relief of starter Ashton Lilly.  Both of the Generals pitchers threw the ball well while giving up very few earned runs. Offensively the Generals did a good job of putting the ball in play and putting pressure on the defense. Junior Brandon Lilly and Sophomore Caleb Cummings led the game offensively for the Generals, while Junior Logan Bishop reached base twice and scored twice in his first start of the season.

The Generals fell in the second game of the doubleheader spoiling a good pitching performance by Junior Brandon Lilly. The Generals battled hard in the game but were unable to overcome a four run outburst by the Hornets in the 3rd inning. Both clubs played well defensively.  Offensively the Generals were led by Junior Chandler Jones who had a double and Seniors Jaren Starks and Jacob Cummings who both collected a hit in the game.
