Clarksville High School

The Clarksville High School girls golf team hit the course on August 27 for a multi-team matchup hosted by Silver Creek at Turning Point Golf Course. Facing off against strong regional competition, the Generals delivered a steady performance highlighted by bright individual moments on the course. Leading the way for Clarksville was Josselin Gomar Escobar, who carded the team's lowest round of the day with a solid 56. Teammate Sophie Skaggs stayed right in the mix by shooting a 60, while Jewelyette Randall rounded out the squad's effort with a round of 68. Silver Creek took the team victory with a total score of 195, led by match medalist Madalynn Hanner, who fired an impressive 41. Christian Academy finished with a team score of 228, while Charlestown posted a 245. Reflecting on the outing and the recent stretch of play, the coaching staff noted the team's strong moments while looking ahead to upcoming training: "We hit a lot of great shots today. We’ve had a really busy couple of weeks. It’ll be good to get some practice in and clean up a few things." The Generals will use the upcoming break in match play to refine their game on the practice range before their next challenge.
